Environs Inc and Jones Design participated in this international urban design competition established to encourage creative solutions for this important Louisville landscape. Our submission, entitled “Confluence” won third place, and was the only submission in the U. S. to receive recognition. The plan incorporates progressive thinking in architecture, sustainable building and infrastructure, landscape architecture and urban design to create a sensitive site development solution. A balance of built structure and open space will allow for the restoration of sensitive natural site features while providing public amenities so crucial to a sustainable and vibrant urban economy.
