Environs Inc designed this master plan for a small farm in Columbia, Kentucky. The owners wanted to organize and separate the land for cattle grazing, a stable and a homestead area which included a secret garden, vegetable garden, berry patch and orchard. The arrival sequence to the house is designed with tree plantings that emulate tension and release along the route. The house is surrounded by managed meadow with spring ephemeral accent plantings for a dramatic affect. The owners plan to implement this plan over a number of phases.
