Jodi Smiley, the president and majority owner of Environs Inc., has over five years experience working in architectural offices and twelve years experience running the landscape architectural office of Environs Inc. Her education and experience in architecture allows Environs to communicate and coordinate more effectively with other disciplines and to understand the needs of the architects that we collaborate with. She offers design, graphic, production and technical expertise to develop design concepts, schematic presentations, design development, and construction documents for our office. She has been developing creative solutions for our clients since the firm’s inception in 1998.

Michael L. Smiley is a registered landscape architect with over twenty-five years of experience providing creative and sustainable site planning and design solutions for public and private clients. Mike has designed and/or managed dozens of projects of various types and sizes over the years from original design concepts through design development, to construction documentation, construction administration, and ongoing management. Mike spent three years helping the Commonwealth of Virginia implement its Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act, sixteen years working on the restoration of Louisville’s Olmsted Parks, and the last eleven years providing sustainable design solutions with Environs Inc.
Sarah S. Kopke-Jones, RLA, LEED AP – Landscape Architect

Sarah is a registered landscape architect and certified LEED AP with over eight years of experience in Chicago, Boston, and Louisville. She has been involved in a wide variety of project scales and types, both nationally and internationally. Her current focus is carrying projects from concept design through construction documentation and implementation as project manager. Her greatest strengths are in planting design, horticulture, construction documentation, and the use and application of CAD and imaging software in all phases of project work. She has been with Environs Inc since 2007.
D. Amin Omidy, ASLA – Landscape Analyst
B. S. in Landscape Architecture – University of Kentucky – 2009
Amin Omidy is a recent Landscape Architecture graduate with a focus in Landscape Analysis and Planning. He provides GIS mapping and CAD production as well as technical support for the office with a thorough knowledge of computer programs and software.
